This website is meant to be an educational clearinghouse of information on Human Trafficking and abuse issues for the use of professionals and lay people alike.  It can be used by parents, students, and educators.  It can be a valuable resource for those whose employment puts them into situations where they may see trafficking without being aware of it, such as taxi drivers, or train, airline and airport employees, and hotel and restaurant employees.

The STOPP website should be helpful for professionals in medical and mental health settings, schools, law enforcement, the courts, legislative bodies, churches and pastoral ministries, and regional collaborative agencies, or task forces on human trafficking and abuse.

The STOPP website is created by a licensed Psychologist who has done trauma therapy individually with trafficked and abused victims, and knows their level of pain and their devastating loneliness.  It is hoped that together, through education, we can bring more victims home, provide healing for them, and prevent the destruction of other young lives.

Our mission is to provide easily accessible, summarized information on Human Trafficking, and to direct you to further resources for educating yourself and others, and for reporting suspicious situations to governmental authorities and to law enforcement.

STOPP will offer updates on abuse in the news and media, upcoming training resources, and updates on legislation on the state and federal levels.

Finally, this website is meant to offer an opportunity for professionals who may come into contact with trafficked victims to network with one another, and to find complementary resources.

There are an estimated 27 million slaves in the world today. That’s the highest recorded number of slaves in history.

Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.

Benjamin Franklin. 1706 – 1790. Founding Father of the United States.

Protecting the rights of even the least individual among us is basically the only excuse the government has for even existing. We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone. Freedom is the recognition that no single person, no single authority or government has a monopoly on the truth, but that every individual life is infinitely precious, that every one of us put in the world has been put there for a reason and has something to offer.

Ronald Reagan. 1911 – 2004. Actor. 40th President of the United States.
